I received a copy of this book from Hidden Gems with the promise that I would leave an honest review Well to start off with WOW This is not the type of book I normally read but I m starting to realize that I need to keep an open mind as far as space travel time travel different galaxies and all that other stuff goes I loved this book It was well written with only a couple of places that could have used a heavier hand in editing but even then the story flowed well I enjoy intelligent strong characters and this book contained them I will keep Imogen Keeper on my to read list from now on Breaking the Alien Warrior Tribe Warrior 2 This is the second book in the series and can be read as a stand alone Feola was tricked into mating an abusive mate Now she is on the run and accused of murder Ajax is a healer and is helping her escape he let her go once but he won t make that mistake again This is a fast paced read with plenty of drama Ajax and Feola have steamy chemistry and the story held my interest throughout I loved it Breaking the Alien Warrior Tribe Warrior 2 The heart wants what it wantsThe Breaking book 2 in the Tribe Warrior series is first class SF action and romance Terrific world building fleshes out the Argenti male dominated military culture the diplomatically allied world of Triannon and introduces the mysterious Argenti enemy the Vestige Feola an original survivor of Triannon was awakened from her rescue pod by Argenti Tribe Warrior healer Ajax but somehow brutish Utto ends up bonding her and abusing her She s trapped and when Utto shares her with his brother she snaps Ajax the soul of Argenti honor and restraint gets a panic call from Feola who s a wanted fugitive now as well as another man s Bonded mate if he rescues her he throws his own life honor and career away Except Ajax loves Feola Period No doubts He answers her call and he and Feola play a killer game of Dodge dodge Utto s corrupt powerful Argenti family dodge creepy slavers and black marketeers dodge Vestige bounty hunters and the Argenti RTRi be warriors dodge the birds You ll have to read the book for the why of that one but it s totally worth it Ajax has a backbone of steel a will of iron and a heart of gold and Feola is absolutely his match in every way This one s a fabulous read in one go adventure and a love story with a uniquely satisfying HEA As with the first novel secondary characters play prominent roles so no skimming to get to the sexy times or you miss vital info and much action Works on it s own but begin with book 1 for maximum enjoyment I m already reading book 3 Breaking the Alien Warrior Tribe Warrior 2 Feola and Ajax get a second chance at love if he can help her break the bond that keeps her tied to an abusive mate I really enjoyed the story It is not your usual take on the bonding process Usually the mates really do love each other and would never think of treating one like she was treated These two have an amazing chemistry and you want so much for them to find a way to be together There are some real surprises to the story. I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received Breaking the Alien Warrior Tribe Warrior 2 The first book was great but I think this second one is even better Perhaps because I was familiar with the world building and the characters but the story flowed very fast Feola bonded with the wrong man and after organising her escape from him she finds herself chased by the Guarda She asks for help to Ajax who s manages to take her off the station Romeo Two becoming a fugitive himself Feola is a brave lovely female main character and Ajax is awesome There is lot of tension and action and a mystery which is always a plus for me The writing is gorgeous as usual and I m looking forward to reading the third book of the series Breaking the Alien Warrior Tribe Warrior 2 Ajax never expected to touch a woman But it happened He shared a single forbidden kiss with a woman he could never have One that went against his people his morals his own better instincts But he never forgot the feel of her the taste of her And now she s back and he s the only man who can save her He won t make the same mistake twice He ll make his own rules to keep her safe Even if he has to steal her away and bind her body to his forever No matter the cost The Breaking is a full length standalone romance jampacked with bada s alien warriors a hurt heroine in need of comfort on the run with an alpha hero determined to keep her safe against all odds IF YOU LOVE epic adventure and fated mates romance steamy aliens this is the series for you No fades to black no cliffhangers and all the happily ever afters This book is intended for a mature audience and it does contain dark themes Each book in the series is a full standalone with an HEA but if you prefer to read in order Tribe Warriors of Argentus Series Book 1 The Bonding Nissa Tam Book 2 The Breaking Feola Ajax Book 3 The Taming Klym Tor Book 4 The Claiming Tessa Sanger One of the best authors in this sub genre Her take on a biological mating bond is one of the most creative I have ever read Her plotting is tight her characterizations are excellent Reviewer This series keeps getting better and better I could not stop turning pages the fast pace gripped me from the first chapter and carried me through Heidi from Reviews My goodness What a treasure I read the first instalment a few months ago and couldn t wait to dive into this one It s decadent and sultry and totally sexy Nathalie from Reviews This read consumed me I read until couldn t keep my eyes open woke up and kept reading till the end It was wonderful Reviews The Breaking is an absolute MUST READ You won t be disappointed Kathy of Reviews Breaking the Alien Warrior Tribe Warrior 2 Awesome sci fi world with sexy bonding physiology The main characters are both sweet and strong and I adored both of them Breaking the Alien Warrior Tribe Warrior 2 After caring for the surviving people of Triannon the Argenti healer Ajax quickly fell for one of his patients Feola He asked for permission from his superiors and intended on bonding with her but that option was taken from him when she surprisingly chose to bond with another man Utto So months later heartbroken and hoping to forget the woman he cannot have Ajax has plans on leaving the Argenti station and going far far away Until one day he receives a distressed call from Feola asking for help Unsure of what s going on but convinced she s at risk from her mate Utto Ajax does his best to put his hurt feelings aside and do whatever he can for her. The worlds the author created were relatable but still imaginative and easy to become immersed in But what I really loved about the book was how strong Keeper writes her female characters Feola needed help yes but she came to Ajax s rescue just as many times After living through her torment with Utto it d be so easy for her to be broken but instead she persevered and was determined to maintain her independence She deserved so much better than what she d been handed and Ajax was the ultimate prize Strong and alpha but still sweet and giving He risked everything his job his home his life just to help Feola even though he still thought she chose Utto over him. Epilogue Breaking the Alien Warrior Tribe Warrior 2 Overall I enjoyed this book it is well written and the author is good at world building I didn t care for the italicised words particularly when the two most used were coffee and lazer written backwards Each time it threw me out the story but this is very much a personal peeve and in no way lessons what is an interesting story with plenty of action and good pace. I liked both Ajax though again disliked the use of Ay shocks whenever Feola spoke his name and Feola They were a wonderful couple and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing their relationship develop I felt the emotion lacked depth at times it was as though I was told how they felt rather than experiencing their feelings The sex scenes were very technically detailed but had no reference to emotions feelings. The book drew me in enough that it wasn t a chore to finish it I would consider reading books in this series Breaking the Alien Warrior Tribe Warrior 2 Run to You Ajax is a huge ripped Argentian Warrior and Healer He is caring for Feola a woman who is accused of murdering her bond mates adult nephew Her bond mate Utto a Senator basically tricked her into their relationship Soon after bonding with her he began abusing her severely at times striking her bruising her He isolated her from everyone controlling every aspect of her life Then one day while he is gone his adult nephew sexually attacks her She is able to stab him in the back and get away but he dies. Ajax is the healer she knew before Utto her husband He comes to her home to treat her and helps her get away off planet and then when she is in the midst of the terrible withdrawals from the bond she no longer wants he offers her himself. Being mates or bonded means Feola needs her mate s serum or semen in a regular basis or the withdrawals begin The two mates also feel each other s emotions which strengthens the bond She feels Utto s rage and hate following her through the bond She wants him gone Ajax can act as a surrogate but he wants Feola for himself He never thought he would have a mate Women are few and far between on Argenta Feola was actually found months before drifting in space in a cryo pod asleep for five hundred years He awoke her but he didn t feel worthy of trying to bond with her Then Utto got his paws on herFeola is the only woman he knows of that has ever broken the bond with her mate She is stronger than she knows This is a wonderful book about true love Even though it s about Alpha Alien men and their protective possessive nature the story is as big and as old as the Universe ARC Received from HG for a Voluntary and Honest Review I also bought the book with KU.
