And others gave me that feeling that I was returning home to see how things were going since my last visit My issues There is definite improvement in the feel of this installment from the previous one The personalities of the characters for the situation they re in made sense Good or bad Everyone handles life problems and stress differently but consistently Obviously I had problems here but the nonspoiler code of conduct prevents me from talking about where how this was problematic in this book The other issue is that there was a lot of action adventure in this book That can t be bad right Unfortunately there was so much that the later scenes were rushed and too compact to enjoy As there is NO SINGLE SCENE I would have wanted left out.

Razor's Traitorous Heart kindle app E Smith books and I really wanted to like this one They provide the mindless enjoyment that is a contrast to my job which requires a lot of thinking very often I have listened to several audiobooks and have waited for a beautiful black or at least non white passing character heroine But I was sincerely fine without one After all everyone doesn t have to be represented in every story If in this woman s sci fi world aliens only interact with white women and their families so be it Her book her rules But the sassy black older heavyset nurse was just entirely too much and too cliche for me to even stomach the rest of the book Once again as per usual the black female is the side kick the lesser attractive the helper of the white female in the white woman s fantasy As a reader it s frustrating when the people who look like you are never in a position of equality but are only written in to play mother maid or assistant to white women I don t support this in my space or my entertainment In this novel aliens are represented as sexual beings than black women Let that sink in for a minute I had to send the book back And it was free I read fantasy novels for pleasure and to escape reality not experience the same things I deal with in day to day life Next time please either represent us well or leave us completely out And unlike aliens there are actually black women in the world that can help you with your representation of us if true representation is what you seek And don t just do it for us Do it to expand your readership Unless you think your current fan base couldn t handle it I think they can Science Fiction Paranormal Fantasy I liked the heroine surprisingly and the hero too All of the books in this series have the supposedly awesome warriors getting themselves stuck in ridiculous situations where they have to be rescued usually multiple times by the heroine Yawn.
