Greg Lucas s chronicle of the Bagwell and Biggio years for the Houston Astros is not to be missed As one who watched most of the games and read most of the news articles at the time it is remarkable how much new information was presented as well as in depth information Especially interesting was the chapter when Larry Dierker became manager and BB s interactions with him as well their relationship with Ken Caminiti All of this adds up to a very enjoyable trip down memory lane that is simply not to be missed I enthusiastically recommend this book Kindle Edition This book is a detailed history of the Houston Astros from the team s start in the 1960s until the year of publication 2017 Since much of the team s success was during the Craig Biggio and Jeff Bagwell era that is the main focus of the book While the book certainly gives a full history of the team it doesn t make for the most fun read It seemed much numbers and stats based rather than filled with interesting behind the scenes type stories I would recommend this book to the die hard Astros fans only I received a free copy of this book from a giveaway but was under no obligation to post a review All views expressed are my honest opinions Kindle Edition
